Are you a big Miss America watcher? I remember every year watching it at my grandparents home....it always came on around the time of my birthday and it was always a "must see" for me.
The South has had many winners in the Miss America contest but Heather Whitestone is far and away my all time favorite. When she performed to Sandy Patti's Via Dolorosa tears streamed down my face and every time I see it I still cry. Heather truly has a beautiful spirit and it shows in her interpretation of Jesus' walk to the cross.

I cannot watch this without crying. That is the song my daughter sang to get her scholarship to college. It is one of the prettiest songs ever, isn't it? xo Diana

Very beautiful. It's nice to see a Miss America that actually has a talent.
