Beauty and the Beast

Can feet be beautiful?    I guess that all depends on the eye of the beholder.    Here in the south we’re getting ready for sandal weather and that means pretty feet!    Call me weird, but I always notice how feet look in those pretty little sandals.

For a while now, my kids and hubby have called my heels “crusty” .   I just call them “the beast”.     But recently I’ve discovered some amazing products that are taking my heels from crusty to smooth and pretty.

Here are two of the most wonderful products for cracked, crusty or otherwise unsightly heels.     I use the smoothing foot scrub in my bath at night and then follow up with the “heel of approval” cream at bedtime.    To insure the best results, I wear cotton socks.    Over the years, I’ve tried every product on the market, including a $40 Rx from my doctor, that didn’t do a thing!     Now these little wonder items can be bought at Bath and Body Works – two for $20!   I just started using them last Friday and there is a world of difference in my feet and heels already.    (By the way, Bath and Body Works did not pay me to endorse these products).

I’m off for a pedicure using my favorite color -  Cajun Shrimp.  (follow this link to read a hilarious story about Cajun Shrimp)!snoothing foot scrubheel of approval

Have you tried the PedEgg? It's one of those infomercial things, but I bought mine at Linens n Things...I think Target has them too. Anyhow, it works wonders on my heels! I highly recommend it!

Yay it's pedicure time! Thanks for the heads up about the products. It's always nice to know something that works.

By the way, one time my son told me my feet were "crunchy". Not what a girl wants to hear - even from a son!

Enjoy the pedicure! I swear by Kerasal in the foot department at any Walmart or Target. In between needing it, I occasionally spread my feet liberally with Vaseline and sleep in socks. It really makes a big difference!

Thanks for the heads up about the feet bottoms! (Ha, my try at a pun!)I live in FL so it's almost always "pretty feet" weather here. I haven't tried either product you mentioned but added them to my mall list.

I own two ped eggs. I bought the original, then while in Walgreens I spotted one with a handle. Yes ma'am, I bought it, right then and there. Along with the products you mentioned, the Ped Egg has helped so much. I've been working on my beasty feet for a couple of weeks...because it is indeed sandal weather.

I need some of that! My hubby says I have "industrial" feet. (What sweetie - lol).

I tried the Ped-Egg but it didn't do a lot for them - maybe they were too far gone?

Definitely going to pick some B&BW up this weekend. Thanks for sharing with us!

I've used the True Blue heal of approval and it really works!

I agree with the pedegg & kerasel. Those two products are more important to me than mascara will ever be! They fix all my icky foot issues and I get pretty feet to show off all summer long!

I always notice pedicures (or lack of pedicures) during sandal weather. Here in the South sandal weather is nine months our of the year! I'll have to try these out. Thanks!

I love my pedi egg...but you can get a little too enthusiastic....;D Same spot on BOTH feel so...I actually have some hoof cream that I am using up for my feet and heels (cotton socks rock).

And Cajun Shrimp is the perfect pedicure color for spring and summer. I will go more neutral for Easter (as my dress is usually softer colors) but the rest of the time it is that OPI color. Time to buy a new bottle though. And I've learned a few things...Rescue Your Nails book by Ji Baek is wonderful thing. Wipe off the neck of the nail polish bottle each time you use it...better seal and the polish lasts longer. How easy is that??? Does make a difference too and at $8/bottle for nail polish...my darling sons gave me a manicure/pedicure gift card for my BD last month...I'm going the last weekend in April.
