Christmas china

I know everyone is "done" with Christmas but I couldn't resist these cups and saucers I found at T.J. ________________ this past weekend. I'm going to try and find two more sets and pair them with solid color plates next Christmas. I would love to decorate one room in more muted browns, coppers and greens for a woodland look. I've already bought some ornaments and ribbons in those colors. I love the garland and pinecones around the cup and saucer

You can't see this very clearly but these were $2.00 each (for both the cup and saucer) for a grand total of $4.00!

I don't know what's going on with my blog page. This afternoon there were several comments on my post about our weekend in Biloxi but tonight they are gone. I apologize to everyone that left a comment that I cannot respond....is anyone else having this problem? Can I "retrieve" the deleted comments?

Hi, Judy, those are so pretty, I can see why you picked them up. You'll love getting them out next year to use.

What a fun trip! I love new clothes, but have gotten to where I don't love shopping for them much anymore. I have to be in the mood! Since I'm not working anymore, I really don't need that many, but yes, those springy cute things look so nice. That would be fun to go out to lunch with the girls in.

Have a good week! I'll keep you posted on my plans. Right now, I'm doing some research on maybe taking a course for certification, so I probably won't get anything going for awhile. January is declutter month for me & working in my long neglected garden beds! But, yes, I'm enjoying being home.

Hi Judy I love the cups and saucers...how great is TJMaxx for a bargain. I can't wait to go again, was there on Monday. Bought new bedding,
...sheets, comforter, pillows, etc for son. He was in dire need but he doesn't complain. When my daughter went up to visit him last November, she was aghast. Said she didn't know if he even had sheets. Where did they go...it baffles me. I gave him 2 sets of Ralph Lauren "Charleston" sheets at 2 years ago. He wants high thread count cuz he is used to it at home but if they keep disappearing...hhhmmm...?

Love the china cups!
I just stopped in one of the TJ's near me and they were going out of business! Everything was an additional %40 off! Unfortunately, this must have been going on for a while now, as there wasn't much left! I did end up getting a boiled wool jacket for $15!

Good Evening Judy,
I have been offline for the last couple of days and am trying to catch up with everyone. I hope to do a post in the morning tho. I love your new Christmas Dishes. They are very beautiful. I know you can't wait to use them this Christmas. I have a set of China Christmas Dishes my Mom bought me a few years ago that has Poinsetta's on them. I don't use them but for looks only. I don't want them getting broke. After Christmas was over with, I had gone to our local Dollar General Store to get some things and they had their Christmas things marked down 50% off. I found a set of Santa Dishes that I liked. It was a 16-piece set. There were 2 bowls that were broken in the box. The lady let me have the 14-piece set for $5.50. I jumped on that. LOL. I can use them this year to eat out of because it's those Mellamac or whatever it's called. You can put it in the oven and microwave as well. "THANK YOU" for sharing your new Christmas Dishes with us. They are beautiful. I was reading your previous post and Biloxi has come along way since Hurricane Katrina. I hope to get down there someday and visit. Take care my friend and have a great evening. May God Bless You and Yours.

Hugs,
Karen H.
