Pumpkin Orange Spray Paint

Today I went in search of orange gloss spray paint to spruce up some old Styrofoam pumpkins I had.

Seems like Krylon knew just what I was looking for!

You can see that these pumpkins had seen better days.     After a couple of coats here’s what I got….

It doesn’t bother me that some of the mildew shows through…I think it makes them look more “realistic”

I’m helping my daughter make a pumpkin topiary for her front porch….this is what she found on Pinterest that we are using for our inspiration

pumpkin topiary

The stone work looks just like hers.   I’ve already made her the broom and bought the black “kettle”.   I’m hoping we can get started on this project this weekend using the pumpkins I painted.

I’ll be back next week to share my fall decorations.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Judy, what a fun project; and the pumpkins do look realistic. I can't wait to see everything all finished.

Great idea - I have a few pumpkins that could use a face lift too - and I love the pumpkin topiaries. I would love to make a couple this year for each side of the door - doubt it gets done though!
Happy weekend!

Well that is the cutest thing I've ever seen for Halloween! I adore that. What a great idea to use orange spray paint on your pumpkins. I will have to keep that in mind for my future Halloween decorations. Yours look real too. I can't wait to see her new decorations. I hope you'll share them.

Okay...you are becoming the Spray Paint Queen! lol. What a cute project, and how smart to spray paint those babies. I agree with you about the "mildew" giving it a more realistic look. Show us the finished project when you guys are all done, please.

You are so clever to think to paint the pumpkins! I would have tossed them.

Thanks for the tip.
