Prayer Request

I had a post ready to go this morning but last night we got some devastating news right in the middle of watching the Super Bowl at my daughter's home.   A precious 14 year old girl, who had played on my granddaughter's softball team, unexpectedly took her own life.   At this point, no one knows why and I can't even imagine what her family is going through.     They were a very close family who doted on and loved their two girls.

Please keep this precious family in your prayers.

Oh Judy, this just breaks this momma's heart for all involved. Will be keeping all in prayer. May God wrap that precious family in His loving arms as they comes to terms with what happened, during their grief and in the days ahead. Prayers for your precious granddaughter as well.

Oh Judy, this is the second suicide that I have heard about within 4 days. The other one was a student at Tulane. Teen suicide is an epidemic. So sad. I will keep that family in my prayers.

Oh, this breaks my heart. There is so much confusion for teens today. My 16 year old great nephew committed suicide 3 years ago. I know prayers are the only thing we can offer the family. I send my love and prayers. Gayle from my hubby's account.

How are we failing our children? In my grandsons 8th grade class, a 13 year old girl took her own life this week as well. In the past 8 years, so many kids have made this choice in my area, including a young 11 year old boy across the street. It is beyond heartbreaking for the poor families and friends as well as their whole communities. How can we reach these kids and find ways to help them? Starting with prayers for them all can't hurt.
