I saw on news that others areas of country had $5.00 plus per gallon. People said while they waited in line the price went up. Ike hadn't even hit, can't say there was a shortage yesterday. Price gouging for sure and it should be illegal!

Wow, I am sure glad I filled the tank up before Ike came. We are in Calif. and that has been the going rate for some time. I am sure we will hit the $5 amount. I feel so badly for those that have to commute for their work, it really cuts into their wages. We will really need to watch our consumption,which maybe would have helped if we would have realized that a long time ago.I guess we should be thankful we even own a car to put gas in.Maybe we should concentrate on that, being thankful. Yes I think that is a good idea. Kathysue
