364 days to go.....

For those of you who follow the Auburn/Alabama Iron Bowl game every year, and for those of us who are Auburn fans, it's gonna be a l-o-o-o-g time until we meet the Tide again. Man, that was a real train wreck to watch! My SIL is the only Alabama fan and his hiney was in Tuscaloosa while the rest of us sat at home, trying to stay warm and dry. By the end of the game, David, Shannon and I were just sitting there staring at the TV in stunned silence.

Well, we had 6 years where we beat Alabama and the tradition had to be broken at some point, but did it have to be so-o-o-o bad????!!!

We were so excited to be home early enough to watch the game. Until it started, that is! I'm thinking an extra 4 hours in Paris would have been a better use of my time. At least one of our family members is happy. WAR EAGLE!

I feel your pain. I too couldn't believe my eyes, but then again, what were we expecting a miracle?

Wait until next year, Bama!

We are truly a house divided now, my daughter goes to (OMG) ALABAMA!

She was raised better than this, but that's where she is, and she's turning into one of them.

On well, there's always hope for my grandchildren, someday.

Ducking as I write this...

We are Alabama fans out here in California. In fact, we were in Alabama for Thanksgiving, but flew home in time to see the game.

I hope I'm still allowed to visit your blog. *wink* : )

Ok, friend...big hug! It will be OK...LOL. But you know I have to say, Roll Tide, since I'm now a Bama fan all the way. And I hope we go ALL THE WAY this year!!

Yeah, it happens. Here in Michigan we have the Michigan vs. Michigan State games. They are killers. Then we have the Michigan vs Ohio State. Another killer. People are passionate about their college football. . . that's for sure.

Hope you didn't bet the house on the game ~ LOL!!

Blessings,

Sher

It's soooo funny the way we say "we beat" like we actually played out there on the field with them boys... I say it too and I always laugh at myself. I hate myself for being a footbal fan cause of all the stress. I feel like I have ulcers. I always tell my husband I am moving to an island the next year with no t.v. hahahah! Anyway, sorry "we"
beat up on "yall" :)

Yeah, it did ;) My husband said, "Tuberville never should have gotten off that bus holding up seven fingers". Guess he was right. I thought the Tide would roll, but didn't think they would shut 'em down. Of course, we were hoarse from yelling, laughing, and whooping. You had the last six years, so we really enjoyed this one ;)

Love your blog. I feel your pain, just in a different state. UGA lost to Tech last weekend. I think I am still in denial.

I saw your profile pic and clicked by to saw.....
WAR Eagle.

Being an AU grad from a paternal history of Bama grads, the game was sad. However I can not say I did not see it coming.

I grew up an Alabama fan, but I guess I can't claim that I am much of a fan because I scheduled Christian's birthday party during the Iron Bowl. Joe is an Auburn fan, and he didn't say a word about the conflict. I guess he sort of knew how this one would turn out ... .

Thanks for your e-mail the other day. You and Shannon would have been welcome to come, but I understand your hesitation on this one. Hopefully I'll speak for something again soon nearby, and I'll be sure to let you know!
