My mom belongs to a group at her church called the “Pearls”. You have to be 50 to be a Pearl so I qualify, and although I’m over 50, I’d say the average age for most Pearls is 70+ so I’m holding off!
The Pearls is hosted by the devine “Miss Betty”. Miss Betty treats every Pearl like they were her own mother. She throws several events each year, picking up the tab herself, just so these ladies can get together, dress up, visit and have a good time. It’s so sweet to see them….they’re like a bunch of sorority sisters at a reunion!
Last night was their annual Mother’s Day event. Here’s the note card that was on our table.
Isn’t that saying the truth?
Here’s mom with her four “kids”…..my sister Kim is on the back left, her twin brother Kelly in the middle, and my other sister Betsy on the right of Kelly….I’m next to mom.
Here’s my baby brother Kelly (holding McKinley) all the way from Kentucky. He pastors a church there. I was 10 years old when he was born and he was my own real “live babydoll.” I had such fun dressing him up and brushing his hair….until he got too big for me to “mommy” him!
Here’s my own little angels (devils)….Taylor on left and McKinley on right. Jackson stayed home with his daddy doing guy things.
Here’s hoping all you moms have a wonderful Mother’s Day!
How fun for members of the Pearls...love the name too! Great photos. I'm sure your Mom was thrilled to have all of her children together.

Does your mother go to church in a small SW Oklahoma Baptist church? I'm thinking I know Miss Betty.
