Just a quick hello....

I've been an absent blogger this week for several reasons. One, it's been a busy week for me at work plus getting ready to host Easter at our house this weekend and doing all the cleaning, grocery shopping, etc. that goes along with all of that. But mostly, something happened that really got my attention. My dear sweet husband pointed out that for the last several months, he's felt totally neglected and unimportant since I discovered the world of blogging. While I've been spending time on the computer, he's been feeling left out and alone. This made me sad because he has kept this to himself all this time and I've gone on my merry way, blabbing on about all the wonderful things that I've discovered through my fellow bloggers. While he knows how much pleasure I take in decorating the house and getting inspiration from the blog world, it seems that I've neglected the one person that makes all the wonderful things in my life happen.

I have a wonderful man that wants me.....cooking for him, babying him, appreciating him and just giving him my time.....isn't that what we all want.....someone who wants us just because?

I'll be spending a little less time blogging and a lot more time with my sweet, wonderful husband. I'm not going anywhere.....just making sure that he never feels like anything can take his place.

  1. My husband has been feeling the same way. I am also spending less time blogging and more time letting my husband know he is most important to me. Thank you for sharing this post and I hope your family has a wonderful Easter Weekend.

    Blessings,
    Elizabeth

  2. Hi Judy,
I am so glad I'm not alone but sorry yours felt that way too. My huband has felt the same way recently.

We are blessed wives to have such wonderful husbands. I think I will give mine an extra hug.

Have an enjoyable and blessed Easter with your family.

  5. My hubby, also, will comment if I spend too much time on the compter. Another reason I've been a lax in responding to so many. Have a wonderful Easter and enjoy your company!

  6. I've backed away from blogging, the past year. Oddly enough, I've had more posts this winter, though.
However, I've edited my visits, a great deal and stretch them out over the week, with a few each day, rather than staying on the computer so much.

This week, I didn't list my tablescape at Susan's, because I felt guilty for not visiting all those on the list. And I didn't prepare a Foodie Friday post, which I love doing. I posted an Easter Greeting, instead, with comments turned off, for today.

It's important to pay attention to my husband, who supports me in everything and in many ways, is involved with the blog. Since J's retirement, just over a year ago, I've concentrated on spending less time, at the computer. I've never tried to post everyday. I don't know how I could do that, since I've slowed down with age and it takes longer to take care of my home and J.

I completely understand how you feel and your reasons. I commend you for the decision you've made!

    Happy Easter!!

  8. Oh, yes, those hubbies will let us know when they are feeling neglected. Mine sure does! We spend a lot of time together since we both work at home, but I do have to pay attention & get off the darn computer more & more. It does take over our lives & it just gets too hard to keep up with it all.

Have a great Easter, dear Judy! xoxo

  10. I try and do most of my blogging while my husband is at work and the kids are at school. I am trying to balance life with blogging. It also helps that my husband works with computers and he knows blogging keeps me out of trouble!;D

  13. Judy,

I think there are alot of folks spending a little less time blogging for the very same reasons. It can become addicting.

Have a very Happy Easter and some good quality time with your hubby and family.

  15. Luckily my hubby loves his TV and I don't so I use the time he's enjoying TV to be at the computer. It works for us, but I can understand how your hubby might feel neglected. Good for you to take what he says to heart and make changes. We'll be here whenever you can visit.

Happy Easter too you and your family.

    Hugs!
