Hubby's work vehicle is experiencing "mechanical problems" so last night after we ate with daughter and her family, we had to stop at an Auto Zone to pick up some parts. He called before we went by there to be sure they had the much needed part and they assured him they did. Got to Auto Zone, he was in there forever, came out WITHOUT the part and said we had 20 minutes to get across town to another Auto Zone that was holding the correct part!
I really needed to potty (I still say this like I'm talking to my kids) and was VERY WORRIED that I might not be able to "hold" it long enough to get across town. After arriving at the Auto Zone (and I might add this was in a not-too-safe part of town) I saw a McDonald's and figured I could go there after Auto Zone. Hubby runs in, then sticks his head out the door a few minutes later, and hollers "they've got a potty in here if you need to go!" OMG, I thought I would die! Everyone in the parking lot, plus all the people in the store, just laughed as I walked in but I couldn't help it....I had to go that bad!
Good grief!

I just had to laugh, Judy, even though I've been in that situation more than once!!

How quaint!
Is your husband still vertical today? I might well have clobbered him. ;>
I had to laugh - sorry. Few weeks ago, I did not make a stop before leaving work, and of course that was the day of a bad accident on the interstate, and this whole side of the city was backed up. Lets just say I made it in the house in record time.

Judy, I laughed so hard Now I have to go and POTTY... Girl, that is so funny. Can't say my husband would ever do that to me. He's done some crazy things, but that... LOL omg...
POOR JUDY.... Thank goodness you were on THAT side of town!!
Hugs and kisses and anything else you need,
Yvette (still laughing)
LOL This is my first visit here and I must say, you made it quite memorable! I was raised in the south too, so love your profile intro.
yep, i needed a grand laugh early this morning!!
LOL! Well, everybody pees. : )
Cute story.
Too Funny Judy! Reminds me of the time we got lost and ended up in Manhattan!! Of course I had to go in the worse way and had to go in a grungy parking garage bathroom! Still gives me nightmares and it cost me $7.50 besides! My husband stayed in the car with our daughter and luggage and I feared for their safety! As I drove off the attendants started shouting "gotta pee" "gotta pee"!!!lol Soooo embarrassing!!! So I completely understand!!! Have a great weekend - Sincerely, Jeannette
We've all been there at one time or the other, in one situation or another but maybe you should teach hubby some hand signals!
You made me laugh! He sounds like my husband.
Hugs, Susan
That's great-just loved this story. Made me chuckle:)
You gotta love 'em don't you!!
That is too funny...leave it to our hubby's to know just what we need.
LOL so nice of hubby to announce it to the entire planet. But I know how that is....when you don't even care because all your dignity flew out the window and all you need is to go PEE! There have been times in our travels that I've been tempted to knock on some strangers door and beg to use their bathroom. I need a bigger bladder.
Men can do those things because they don't know how terrible it is to have to look for a potty everywhere you go! First thing I scope out...where's the potty???
So funny!
What a hilarious story...I know how it is! Men...they just don't get it. Peggy from PA
