Happy New Year!

I hope everyone enjoyed a very relaxing wonderful day on this the first day of 2009. Between cooking lunch and enjoying my daughter and her family's visit, I have been checking out several blogs today. It seems a lot of you are re-evaluating the direction your blog will go this year and some of you are setting personal goals you hope to achieve. As for myself, I am hoping to "grow" my blog a little more but I feel a strong pull to work on my spiritual growth. I want to live each day to the fullest and never take anything or anyone for granted. At the end of the day, I don't want any regrets for anything I may have done or said that would not be pleasing to God, who has seen fit to bless me more that I deserve.

Now, two little announcements: First of all, one of my all time favorite blog friends (Rhoda) and I are heading to Atlanta on Saturday, January 10th to do a little shopping and flea marketing with Eddie Ross! Yea, can you believe it? Of course, Rhoda and I will have many, many pictures and stories to tell ya'll!

Secondly, my friend Linda, whose home is featured here, may try her hand at blogging. We are going to get together real soon and I'm going to help her get started. Once that happens, I will be sure to tell ya'll so you can visit her blog and welcome her as I know all of you will!

Have a safe and wonderful weekend!

Happy New Year!
I tried out the blueberry dessert tonight that you had posted a few posts back and it was delicious. We had friends over for dinner and had a feast of black eyed peas, turnip greens, apple baked pork chops, homemade chicken pot pie, rice, rolls and we finished it all off with that wonderful and yummy dessert.... Thanks for posting!

Oh, I just can't wait for our shopping trip! I'm so glad you are going with me, so we can enjoy the whole day. Happy New Year, my friend!

PS Don't forget to bring all the goodies you had stashed for me this year. :) Hope they all fit in your car.

Hi Judy! Very cool about Eddie coming here. Scott's has always been one of my fav. places to shop. Debbie, Confessions of a Plate Addict, lives locally here to...I'll let her know about this, as well. :-) Susan

Happy New Year Judy!

I just know you and Rhoda are going to have a fabulous time with Eddie Ross. What an adventure! I can't wait to read about it and hopefully see lots of photos.

Still haven't figured out just what direction to go with the Back Porch...in the end, I may just leave it as is.

Are you planning on stopping by here by any chance? The guest room is a storage room for Christmas decorations and I need motivation to return it to normal. Kathleen goes back to school tomorrow, so I will be back on a normal schedule (or what passes for normal around here!).
