The Sweetest Thing and Merry Christmas!

Oh the plans I had for sharing the remainder of my so-called "Christmas tour" of the rest of the house....but a phone call at 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning cancelled out all my well meaning plans. My daughter, who was due to have her baby on December 30th, called to say they were on the way to the hospital! After getting her settled in her birthing suite, and after a bit of concern it might be a false alarm, baby boy soon made it known he was ready to enter this world. So....at 6:44 a.m. he did!

  He's a big boy....9 pounds 4 ounces!

And a head full of hair (like his mama had)!   We couldn't be more thrilled!

Is there anything sweeter?

Mama and baby are doing great!

It goes without being said that the next few weeks will be a whirlwind for me....once my daughter goes home I will be helping out for 2-3 weeks at her house.   So this will probably be my last post for the rest of this year.

Thank you all who follow along on my little blog that I have so neglected this past year, but nevertheless I really do appreciate everyone who leaves such nice comments and e-mails.    I'd love to promise things will be better in 2015 but we shall see.

I hope you all have a wonderful and blessed Christmas.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  3. While I had not planned to post myself again until after the New Year, I have been checking my blog roll when I have a free moment.

Congratulations to the entire family. A baby is the most precious gift at Christmastime. And personally, I rather see a post about that precious baby than another decorated tree!!!

    Merry Christmas and enjoy him!!
