Tomorrow I’m going to son’s house in Birmingham for a few days to babysit while DIL is out of town on business. While I know I’ll have a great time with the “grands” and son, there will be some work involved. The main thing I’m hoping to accomplish is making the curtains for McKinley’s bedroom….go here to see the headboard I finally finished for her room. When everyone was here last weekend cooking out, they were supposed to come back by on Sunday and get the headboard but their car was too loaded down for it to fit! It won’t go in my car so we’ll have to meet them half way one weekend to exchange the headboard. I was really hoping they could take it home with them so I could finish the room…..oh, well…..
I do plan to do a little shopping while I’m in Birmingham. Once I drop the kids off at school and day care, I’m going to take one day to just do whatever I want to do. Hoping to meet son for lunch one day too but it depends on his schedule.
Only one more week to go and then we’re beach bound!
Enjoy your time with the grandkids. I always enjoy shopping at the Summit and Galleria when in Birmingham.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time with your grands and your son. Looks like that you are coming my way and I'm coming your way next month (we are coming up to Lake Martin for 5 days)...the beach weather was just perfect today...I could have just stayed out all day under my umbrella.

Linda
Hey girl...loved that beautiful headboard in the last post...hope you have a great time with son and the grands! I hope to keep losing all this year...I tell you girl I am so thankful for the 40 lbs gone but it didn't make a dent in this old gal's body! lol I just gained so much last year with all the emotions and stress of mama and daddy being so sick...but I am determined to stick with it...I love those fat free soft tacos you get at Wal-mart in the bread isle..I use them as a wrap for my chicken or ham and add alittle lettuce and ranch...oh my word! Oh and have you tried the Smart Ones chocolate fudge brownie...ohhhh lordy...solves my need for ice cream! lol Oh and I love the new Minute Rice micro singles with the brown rice and wild rice mix...add a couple oz tyson precooked oven roasted chicken sauted with onions and mushrooms...a little steam broccoli all on top of the rice...less than 5 minutes...ohhhh lordy it is so good...ok enough about food...it isn't even daylight and I am making myself hungry! lol Have a great Sunday sweetie....Picket

ReplyDeleteHi sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteWe've been at our time share in Palm Desert for two weeks, so I haven't been on the computer much at all...very unlike me! We're actually in LA tonight and will fly home early tomorrow morning.
I'm letting George watch sports on tv so I can catch up on my blog reading! LOL I've had fun catching up with you this afternoon. The headboard turned out so cute! Enjoy your time in Birmingham. I love to shop (and eat out) in B'Ham.
Hugs,
Kat
