We'll start out in the foyer. Her entire house is painted in this yummy gray color which is a wonderful backdrop for her white pieces.
This bench is one of her latest finds. I love the way she uses the pop of turquoise/aqua for contrast.
Now for some photos of the master bath....I could live in here!
What a clever idea....she took an old mantle piece and hung it upside down over her tub
Now let's go to the master bedroom. Love this floor lamp that she painted white and added the shade with crystal dangly things. She uses those EVERYWHERE and on EVERYTHING!
Gorgeous bed and bedding
What a wonderful piece this is. A little linen sofa (where you can toss pillows at night)
Moving into the dining room, she spray painted her gold chandy white and added more danglys. I have this exact chandy in my dining room but for now it will remain gold
She uses this aqua color throughout for a pop of color. This mirror is another example of her painting talents
Collection of white pitchers against the background of that aqua
Going out the backdoor is this sweet angel
This piece is also in her kitchen facing you as you walk in the back door
Some of her artwork can be seen here (picture of the two girls near the bar area)
I want that screen!
I took a lot more pictures but I think you get the idea of how beautiful her house is. She has recently been asked to participate in our local Junior League Holiday Market being held here in October. Not sure what all she is showing, art and possibly some furniture. If you live in my area, I hope you can make the Holiday Market and be sure to check out Linda's space. Also, if any of you are interested in getting some custom pieces done for your home, please e-mail me and I will get you in touch with Linda.
Now let me go look around my house for how I can incorporate the cottage look.
Hi Judy, I love it! I have never been a fan of grey on the walls, but It is perfect with this look! I love the pops of color. I think that foyer is my favorite! Thanks so much for showing us these pictures, it was a great pleasure to view them. Nancy
ReplyDeleteHer home is beautiful. I'll take that screen as well.
ReplyDeleteTell your friend "thanks" for letting us nosey lookey loo's in.

HI Judy! Absolutely beautiful!!!!! I just purchased another gallon of silver screen Behr paint because I am painting my entire 1st level in pale grey; can you believe I had it that color once and foolishly painted over it!!!lol After seeing this I am convinced I should put it back! Great Post! Thank you to your friend for letting us peek! Jeannette
ReplyDeleteWow, what a beautiful home...thanks for sharing..Pat H
ReplyDeleteGorgeous...it surely took a lot of time and a great deal of creativity to put together such a beautiful home.
ReplyDeleteOh, that was a fun tour! Tell Linda she has great taste & has really put the cottage look together well. Love it! I'd love to have more architectural pieces too. I have a few in my house, but she really makes them work.
ReplyDeleteThat seems so serene.
ReplyDeleteI always look at those architectural fragments and then hesitate to buy them. Never sure what to do with them. She has great ideas.
Thanks for sharing!
That whole color scheme is so wonderful!! And I thought I didn't like gray. Thanks for sharing. Sally
ReplyDeleteOh, I love that so much! Our guest bedroom looks (a tiny bit) similar - but that is really my style! And, I especially love the architectural elements above the doors!
ReplyDeleteHi Judy,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful home! I love everything about it. The mantel piece over the garden tub is a wonderful idea!
I may have to look for some of those pieces myself!

So fresh and clean..lovely beachy look without it screaming theme!
ReplyDeletegreat ideas. Love the cream ware with turquoise background..striking!
isn't this one of the most restful homes you've ever seen?!
ReplyDeleteThank you Judy for showing us your friend's house. It is lovely. The nice thing about what furniture pieces is you can buy used items at the thrift store, garage sales, etc. and paint them all white and it looks like a set then.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sher
I'm stopping by to drop off an "award". Stop by my blog to pick it up.
ReplyDeleteHer new white bench is EXACTLY what I have been looking for in my kitchen. Where did she get it? The painted mirror is gorgeous too. I think that I have a seen a mirror just like that in black with a gold over the top. I like the aqua better. YUMMY!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. Everything is so calming and peaceful!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day,
Erin
Thanks for the tour. I enjoyed seeing your friend's beautiful home.
ReplyDeleteI found you through blogger...
ReplyDeleteThis house is gorgeous. I love the grey paint color!
I found your blog from Duchess' blog - your friend's home is just beautiful! It amazes me that there are so many talented women everywhere. Thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific home and tour! She just has perfect taste and I love the pops of soft color here and there.
ReplyDeleteThank for the tour.

That home is gorgeous! What is her name? I am going to the Holiday Market next week; it's my favorite shopping event of the year! I will have to look for her. I am still dreaming of a large dresser/buffet/credenza that I could put in my kitchen to work as a buffet and storage for the children's art and homework supplies. Her work would be perfect! I am looking for a steal, though, so may need to find something I can repaint myself. I'm sure you have lots of treasures available at your yard sale. I would love to stop by. Unfortunately, I think Mary Ashley's birthday-party schedule is going to keep my day full. And BTW, I found more of our plates at TJ Maxx last week! They were a little more expensive than I remembered when I bought them before, but since I have searched high and low, I bought them anyway!
ReplyDeleteWow! Her home is gorgeous. Thank you for posting this beautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteJudy,
ReplyDeleteI love your blog. And I love, love this post. I am eyeing that grey and white themed bathroom for my little girl.
Thanks, Debbie
Hi! I love the angel that is infront of the aqua mirror. I have the exact same angel, but my husband broke her about a month ago and I can not find her anywhere as I received her as a gift last Christmas. Could you ask her about hers. I am willing to pay anything! Thanks so much!! I hope you are having a great day.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful house and pretty things. I love the cherub on her mantel and the chandeliers.
ReplyDeleteI would love to take these ideas, esp the color pallet but I have 2 toddlers and 5 dogs! Maybe I should just choose one room and then ban kids and pups!
ReplyDeleteIt really is stunning though and so fresh looking.
So pretty! I've always loved the cottage look. She has so many unique and interesting pieces, too. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and inspiring - someday I hope my house looks that gorgeous. I love cottage style. Thanks for the tour!
