Main Street Interiors

I'm so excited to share this post with ya'll! Last weekend my mom and I went to Prattville which was once considered the "bedroom" community of Montgomery. Now, Prattville is growing by leaps and bounds and is expanding so fast it's hard to keep up with all its new development. It still has that small town atmosphere that everyone loves, despite its growth. One of its most impressive and popular stores is Main Street Interiors. I have the pleasure of being related to its owners - Bill and Debbie Chiles. Bill is my cousin and he and my brother grew up together. Debbie is a talented lady who has always be successful in whatever she has done. A few years ago they opened their shop in a small storefront on Main Street in Prattville. It quickly grew in reputation and inventory to what it is today - two shops now known as Main Street Interiors. They specialize in developing interiors for individuals homes. The prices are very reasonable and you get that personal treatment not usually found in "big box" furniture stores. So, without further ado, let's take a little tour of Main Street Interiors....

This is the outside of the first location they moved to when they outgrew the smaller storefront location

The newest location just down and across the street

Here is Debbie herself creating one of her floral designs....she does most all of them herself but now has a helper Very simple but so pretty!
We'll just browse around now....take your time, there's lots of eye candy

I LOVE this black bookcase

For any of you close to Prattville, or if you happen to come through our part of the state, please drop by for a little visit. The store locations are at 156 W. Main and 125 W. Main Street, Prattville, Alabama. Bill and Debbie's sweet daughters, Holly and Heather, also work in the stores and Heather is pursuing a degree in interior design. If you do get by, tell them Judy sent you! You'll get a great big ol' hug and some wonderful southern hospitality!

After we left Bill and Debbie's, we went to a new flea market that had recently opened. This was the display as you entered the store

Some pretty "shabby chic" furniture

I'm glad ya'll were able to come along with me on this little outing...I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

  1. Main Street pics are awesome...but the flea market pics are very inticing!

I visited Prattville not too many years ago...a young teacher friend from here, Holly, moved there and several of us went to visit her and see her new home. I could see that it was a growing community.
    I enjoyed your post!

  9. What a lovely store; I loved all the upholstered furniture with beautiful patterns. Very Southern to my way of thinking, here in the North everything tends to be plain and therefore practical! Yankee frugality, I guess.

  10. Good morning, Judy!

This was so much fun, I enjoyed every bit of touring Main Street Interiors.

Great minds! I showcased a shop and cafe on our Main Street this week. We're a bedroom community of St Louis, growing very fast!

    Have a great week!

  12. Hi Judy, I just love those black tables with the rattan centers, they are gorgerous and different. I want to thank you for coming by and yes, I did get the bunny lamp from JC Penney. I think I have had it 2 years..I ordered it from the catalog. You might check on line. If I ever want to part with it, I will keep you in mind. Have a good day, Nancy

  17. Hi Judy, Thanks for the kind comments on my Scotland post and monogrammed items! I semi-made the window shades. They are so simple! I bought the fabric and took it to a local shop that does monogramming, for the G's. In our area, you have to shop around for prices and rates. I paid $7 for each monogram, which I thought was high, but my sis-in-law, used another shop and they charged her $15 for a monogram about the same size for pillows she made. I made a pattern for the shade. Then sewed a cheap, solid fabric panel to the back. I attached the fringe trim to the front, which is about 1/4" on each side too short. If I were on RMS, they would eat me alive for that wouldn't they? LOL! I added a stick on velcro strip to the FRONT of the curtain top, and then to the door over the blinds behind the shade, and flipped it over. This probably makes no sense at all, but I can say, it is very simple, and one yard will make the front of both panels! With the monogramming $, I probably have less than $15 in each! If had purchased cheaper trim, or used no trim at all, they would have been even cheaper. If you would like to try them, I can send you more pics, including the velcro strip I tried, but probably failed miserably to describe! LOLOL!

Your trip to BHam, meeting Rhoda, Wanda's shop was awesome! I fell like I'm missing out on so much, due to being so busy with other stuff. One day, I'll have girlfriend fun!
