Love Bug!
This is my answer to the high cost of gas....while I love my big beautiful SUV, I hate hearing my hubby moan about the price of filling it up....so I decided to get a little love (bug) to toodle around in. I wanted a convertible but we found this one "for sale by owner" that has been babied and taken care of. It has a sun roof so that will work! I rode by the guy's house we bought it from to take a picture, today he's getting it serviced for me. We found this late Saturday afternoon after we had spent the day at a car dealership and had decided on an Altima. If I got the Altima, we were going to sell the SUV but since I'm getting this little bug, I'm going to keep the SUV. Can't you see me, the twins and other granddaughter riding around, radio up and our hair blowing in the wind?
Okay, now I need ya'll's suggestions. My SUV has a personalized Auburn tag that says 4-Judy. Hubby asked me if I wanted a personalized tag for the bug and I really do but I don't know what I want it to say. I don't want "Luv Bug" but something more personal to me and/or a VW bug. I would love any suggestions ya'll might have for the tag. Let me know what ya'll come up with ASAP cause I'm getting the car tomorrow!

What do you think?
Love the bug.Bugs4me
ReplyDeleteJudy, I love your bug! David's teacher has had one for a couple of years and she absolutely loves it! ...especially the gas milage! Now my MIL wants one... a lime green one with a sun roof! She is a colorful soul! LOL! David's teacher has beautiful gray hair, (she grayed prematurely,) and her bug is silver...to match her hair she says! LOL! My suggestion, although I like Tara's, is: GramsBug or JGramsBug.
ReplyDeleteYou asked me about Salisbury, NC? I live further down the coast, halfway between Wilmington,NC and Myrtle Beach, SC. But my husband has a few real close friends that work with Nascar & live in Salisbury. He and my son go up there quite often! One guy is restoring a race car for him. We both love that area. If we weren't tied here, with our business, I would love to move up the Charlotte area. That is so neat, that you are kin to Elizabeth Dole and Billy Graham! I highly respect both of them! And although I am several miles from your kinfolks, you never can tell, we might be kin! My dad was one of 8 children and my mother was one of 7, so I have cousins that my children have never met. Ashley has told me several times, before she dates anyone, she'll have to verify by me that we are not kin! LOL!
Let us know what you named your bug...I'm excited for you! I drive a large SUV and the gas is terrible! ~Rhonda
What a cute bug! I wanted a bug convertible, but my husband didn't like it since it was hard to see out the back when the top is down. I know you're gonna love tooling around in it though.
ReplyDeleteHow about Bug4J or JsBug?
I hope your Memorial Day was a good one. I'm so proud to be an American. I'm thankful to all of the men and women who defend our country.
If you get a chance, stop by my blog and see the video at the end of my post. It's worth watching.
Hugs!
Kat
I love your little bug. How about "LadyBug" for your tag?
ReplyDeleteI just love bugs! I think they are the cutest cars!! How about "JBug"
ReplyDeleteHave fun in your bug!!
Oh, I wish I could find one for my daughter who lives in Atlanta and has a 40 mile commute - 20 miles each way...IN A SUV! Ack!
ReplyDeleteAs for the tags, I immediately thought of Sav Mor. As in "save more gas". ;)
Or maybe JTR BUG...read as jitter bug.
Congrats on the new to you bug! Great way to take the pain out of visiting the gas station.
ReplyDeleteYour little bug is so cute, Judy. I saw one yesterday, I'd love to have. It was a convertible and a very pretty robins egg blue. I've often considered having a VW. I'm driving a fairly fuel efficient Camry, at the moment. J's big ol' Chevy truck is not fuel efficient, but it's the one we drive to the lake, because Miss Molly goes along with us and as much as I love my little mutt, her gorgeous black hair gets all over the place...so we'll confine it to the truck for now!
ReplyDeleteWe're off to the lake, later today. Before we leave I'm posting some more photos of homes around town.
Have a great rest of the week!

ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting!
oh, the bug.....
"Pearl"
shhh, my white mini van is named pearl, but it fits your cute bug as well!
My roomie one summer had a VW bug that she and her mother lovingly restored. This was back in 1986. She had a personalized plate that I thought was just perfect for a bug...
ReplyDeleteBUGB4U (meaning there is a bug in front of you)...It was the cutest car and everyone loved the license plate. Don't know how many letters your state allows but you could always break it up into
BUG B4U or
BUG B4 U
Congrats on your new little bug!
