Sometime back I posted my husband's bathroom on Rate My Space. Most of the feedback was postive but I did get some pretty "goofy" comments and/or suggestions. I wish my camera took a better picture of this bathroom or better yet, I could get a shot of the entire room. The walls are chocolate brown and I've used white and brown towels with a little bit of leopard thrown in. This bathroom is pretty small but I've managed to put in 2 lamps and now a chandelier! The little sconce on the wall between the mirror and wall mounted cabinet is fake and just for show. The mirror came from a thrift shop....my sister and I fought over it in the store (I tell her I'm still the boss of her) and it was only $4.00!
I actually stood in the bathtub to take this photo. Someone made a comment about that they did not like my dog picture (whatever) but Mary at Little Red House loved it and I love her taste!

Here's the shabby chic chandelier hubby hung today. It was a flea market find. The lady was asking $35 for it (which I would have paid)....it included all the shades with little crystal dangly things. I got her down to $20 and walked away a happy camper!
I love the dog picture in your bathroom....I would have done the same thing! So cute!
ReplyDeleteI love your husbands bathroom! And the picture of the dogs is the perfect touch for masculinity I think!
ReplyDeleteGood Evening Judy,
ReplyDeleteI love how you have decorated your husband's bathroom. The chandalier looks so good in there. I do think the DOG picture looks very masculine in there as well. It's you house and don't let anyone tell you how you can or can't decorate it. I love the fake lamp as well. Heck, I wish it was my bathroom. LOL. You did a great job in decorating it. Take care my friend and have a great evening. May God Bless You and Yours.
Love & Hugs,
Karen H.
Hey Judy,
ReplyDeleteI just got thru watching Amy on "If Wall's Could Talk". She is a beautiful lady and has a beautiful home. That is so neat that she found all those things in her home. I am so glad that you let us know about the show and I'm so glad that I got to watch it. I know you are excited for her as well. Be sure to tell her I seen her on the show and I love her house. She has a beautiful Family as well. Take care my friend and have a great evening. May God Bless You and Yours.
Love & Hugs,
Karen H.
Great looking bathroom, you did such a ice job decorating.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting the pics.
Carol
I love the chandelier but more importantly - do you and your husband have separate bathrooms?
ReplyDeleteBecause we do and I thought we might be the only couple in the world who do. We started that the week we got married and it has worked very well for us. I encourage it!
I'll be looking forward to seeing more pictures of your friend's house! What an interesting story about the house too!! I hope you have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteOh I like your bathroom. I like the chocolate wall color ~ and the chandelier, wow, what a great price. Love it.

Well I love your dog picture! I have a whole collection of dog pictures so I'm a wee bit biased! I really love this bathroom! I think chocolate and white is such a stunning combination!

Hi Judy sorry I've been out of touch. Just have been busy in my yard. I love yard work and thru the years...I've created more and more yard work for myself because of all the things I've planted. Ha! I love the bathroom pictures and the chandalier. You have exquisite taste. I promise to be online more. Ohhh... I got absorbed in Rate My Space...looking at all the 5000 + beautiful most rated spaces. Fun and inspiring. XOXO, Sandi
ReplyDeleteHi Judy, my name is Judy too, but I will often go by my given name, Judith!
ReplyDeleteYour bathroom is great I love the contrast of the dark brown walls against the white. The chandlier is fab too, a chandlier always brings that certain romantic spark to a room. Thank you for visiting my blog earlier, I am a bit behind and swamped with emails to catch up on, such fun! I need to put my nose to the grind stone to learn all the nifty tricks making a pretty blog, so bear with me.
Hi there! I came back to read some of your older posts and I must tell you that I just love this bathroom! I love the leopard print accents you have in here and the chandelier is so fabulous! I can't believe someone didn't like that dog picture! I think it's darling.
