A Little Bit of Everything......

I've been taking some pictures with my new camera Santa brought! I've tried to show a little bit around the house, a couple of pictures I tried to take on the TV when Auburn won the Chick-Fil-A Bowl on New Year's Eve, and the before and "in progress" photos of a nightstand I'm working on.

I love this mahogany chest in the den. This is the chest we put our tree on in an old black urn at Christmas so when we took our tree down, I changed up a little how I had it displayed. This is a wonderful piece of furniture.
Sideboard in den behind sofa

Sunroom after Christmas - I am using my brown and creme transferware instead of all blue and white which I had been using in here. There is a great story about this buffet. We got it at a local auction last year - it was in very rough shape and we paid $25 for it. My husband stripped it and I painted it black. One door needs some work but not bad for $25!

Auburn wins over Clemson in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl!!! Wa-a-a-r Eagle!!!
This was a picture on a table full of Auburn stuff at the auction we went to
Gorgeous china cabinet - we left before it was auctioned off

Delicate and beautiful china

Beautiful sets of china - this one went for $42.50!

"Trash to treasure" nightstand I picked up at auction for $5.00. This will be in Taylor's "big girl" room

First coat of black paint

Drawer to Taylor's nightstand - we will be adding a glass knob

  1. Good Morning Judy,
Wow, you got a bargain there didn't ya? I love the table. You did a great job in redoing it. I love the Buffet as well. I have one that my Mom bought years ago and she is letting me use it. I also am using a China Cabinet that she got at the same place as well. I love your China. That is a beautiful set. "THANK YOU" for sharing with us. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

    Hugs,
    Karen H.

  2. Judy,

Love the bargains! I'm trying to paint a piece of furniture black, but hubby keeps turning his nose up. Oh well, maybe someday!

    Thanks for sharing your treasures.

  3. What great finds! I loved all of the things you got! You can see beauty in rundown things, can't you?
I got a glass cloche for Christmas and I have been looking for ideas to put under it. I noticed you had a couple on your tables!

  4. Thanks for your sweet and encouraging comment!
Have fun in Biloxi! I was there in August on our way to the beach. I had never been there before so I couldn't tell the difference but we were one of our friends who is from there and hadn't been back since Katrina (his parents moved to Memphis after the hurricane) and he said it was SO different.
